La fissure

Annabelle Lourenço / Cyprien Nozières Web January 2012

Webdoc directed by the photographer Annabelle Lourenço and the motion designer Cyprien Nozières. "The crack", or « La fissure » in french, is a meeting with three residents of three emblematic areas of the Fukushima disaster. They talk to us about the consequences in their day-to-day life. In Miyagi we met a fishing family which struggle to live in a precast house given by the prefecture, while the devastated town offer no longer any economic activity ; in the city of Fukushima we could feel the silent horror of contamination and talk with an artist committed in the health awareness and information ; and in Tokyo we follow the work of mothers involved in a campaign to ban contaminated food from public school canteens.
The graphics of the webdoc are, of course, based on the work of the two artists, with a navigation focused on a map of Japan during the Tsunami.
